RAW is not your typical night out, and the first of its kind in London. No two RAWs are the same.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Join us on November 28th for What Does Not RAW at Kindred in Hammersmith to showcase storytelling and creativity in all its forms. Expect real, uncensored human stories on the theme of 'Addiction' as well as live performances.
In a society that tells us we’re not good enough and satisfaction must be found through consumption, addiction is most often associated with some form of vice, like alcohol, smoking, drugs, porn or gambling. But humans are fallible, so a person can become addicted to almost anything from exercise and work, to saving money or even being on a smartphone. Even things that are typically ‘good for you’ – like, say, broccoli – can cause more harm than good if done in excess. We want to spotlight true stories of living with, overcoming addiction – or even harnessing addiction to turn it into a positive drive. We want to showcase the many faces of addiction and de-stigmatise this very human trait.
Guests are entitled to a free welcome drink on the night, sponsored by Citadelle Gin. TCs apply.

RAW brings together people from all walks of life for a night of immersive experiences and curated storytelling on a theme. RAWs feature true stories told by everyday humans – paired with music and art. More than just a night out, this immersive event bridges social gaps and creates an environment that truly catalyses heart-based understanding of our shared humanity.

1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight WFL Media Ltd and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
12. The event listed on the purchased ticket is strictly for ticket holders who are over 18 years of age. Identification may be required.
Things to keep in mind:
• The event operates on a strict ticket pre-booking only. Tickets cannot be booked at the door.
• Ticket holders are entitled to one free welcome drink on the night. Citadelle gin, WDN and Kindred reserve the right to withdraw this promotion at any time, for whatever reason, and in the case where all the stock has run out.
• Guests will be handed a token at the door which may be exchanged at the bar for a drink. Tokens cannot be exchanged for drinks on the Kindred menu - only the specific gin-based options created for the night, sponsored by Citadelle gin. There will also be a non-alcoholic option.
• We do not advocate overconsumption or the abuse of alcohol. Drinking excessively will cause harm to your body and mind. Please drink mindfully. Seek help from a professional if you have a problem, or if you think you might have one.
• What Does Not RAW is a safe space that promotes freedom of expression. All stories are uncensored and are real life events, which we as curators do not have any input on. Speaker views and opinions do not necessarily represent those of What Does Not or its team.
• Please be respectful of others, What Does Not events are a safe space. We have no tolerance for racism, homophobia, misogyny, or any form of hate speech.
• If you would like to tell your story or exhibit at the next What Does Not RAW, please get in touch - we would love to hear from you.
• A photographer and videographer will be present at this event. The images and videos taken may be used in website content and on social media to promote What Does Not WDN. By attending a WDN event you consent to be photographed, filmed, or recorded as an audience member.
• Upon registration, you consent that any data you submit will be saved by WDN. Your information will only be used for the limited purpose of current and future event updates. Your data will never be passed on to any third parties and no spam.
